Patina Miller
Miller played the role of lead actor in Stephen Schwartz's acclaimed production of "Pippin" on Broadway. Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin" which was a musical with Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well as Terrence Man, was directed by Diane Paulus. Patina transformed the role of Ben Vereen. She is a Tony Award-winning actor. She also mastered the movements of Fosse, which are essential to the musical. Her performance was recognized with a Tony Award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was also presented for Outstanding Actress. In December 2012 through January 2013, she was The Leading Player of American Repertory Theater's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
